QUALIFYING COMPETITIONS

Category Awards:

Winner & Runner Up

  • Each category will have a winner and a runner up, chosen at the discretion of the judges.
  • Recipients will receive a physical award and a printed copy of their certificate, which will be posted to them after the event.

Judges Awards (Exclusive to Qualifying Competitions Only):

Overview

  • All entries are automatically considered for the following Judges Choice awards.
  • These awards are based on the judge’s personal preferences, not scores.
  • Winners will receive digital certificates.

Judges Choice Categories

  • Best Hair Award
  • Most Creative Award
  • Best Photo Award
  • Best Styled Award
  • Rising Star Award

Overall Artistry Award (Exclusive to Qualifying Competitions Only):

  • The judges will select a winner based on the overall presentation, including styling, quality of work, technique, posing, photography, creativity, and originality.
  • The winner will receive a physical award, printed copy of their certificate and a prize from the award sponsor.

Highest Scoring Artists:

  • For each level, the top 5 highest scoring artists will be announced.
  • Recipients will receive digital certificates.

All Entries:

  • All participants will receive high-resolution digital certificates reflecting their results, regardless of placings.
  • Digital badges will also be provided to display on social media pages and/or websites.

RAA FINALS

Entry Requirements:

Eligibility

  • Artists must have scored at least one Gold score or higher (85-90/100) at an RAA qualifying competition within the same calendar year.
  • All entries for the finals are considered open level, regardless of prior competition entry levels.

Category Awards:

1st, 2nd, and 3rd Places

  • All categories will be awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places at the discretion of the judges.
  • Recipients will receive a physical award and a printed copy of their certificate.

Overall Awards:

Overview

  • All entries are automatically considered for the following overall awards.
  • For the "Reborn Artist of the Year" award, nominees will be announced after all regular categories are judged. Only diamond-scoring artists are eligible, and the judges will convene to select a winner.

  • Top 10 Highest Scoring Artists
    Recipients will receive a card ribbon and a printed copy of their certificate.
  • Most Outstanding Artist
    Recipients will receive a physical award and a printed copy of their certificate.
  • Runner Up Most Outstanding Artist
    Recipients will receive a physical award and a printed copy of their certificate.
  • Most Promising Artist
    Recipients will receive a physical award and a printed copy of their certificate.
  • Reborn Artist of the Year ☆
    Recipients will receive a physical award, a printed copy of their certificate, and a prize.

All Entries:

  • All participants will receive a digital certificate for their places and/or scores along with matching digital badges for online use.

Physical Artistry Awards & Prizes:

Types of Awards

  • Physical awards may consist of rosettes, medallions, plaques, or trophies, at the discretion of the RAA.

Delivery

Awards and any related prizes will be mailed to the recipients following the announcement of results.

Showcasing

  • These awards are excellent visuals to showcase alongside your work at doll shows, fairs, or any other display events.

Types of Prizes:

Overview

RAA, affiliates, and sponsors will provide prizes for specific categories. These may consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

Prize Examples

  • Reborn kits
  • Reborning supplies/Packs
  • Vouchers from reborn vendors (discount or dollars off)
  • Clothing and/or accessories for Reborns
  • Personal prize packs (e.g. skincare gift sets)
  • Free or discounted access to workshops or tutorials (digital, online, or in-person)
  • Subscriptions to industry magazines, online resources, or relevant content platforms
  • Tickets to industry events, doll shows, or conventions
  • Prototype opportunities

Digital Artistry Awards:

Certificates and Badges

  • All artists will receive digital copies of their certificates as well as award badges following the event.
  • Each badge will be numbered per artist with the year, award name, and award color.
  • All certificates will be high resolution and printable, should recipients wish to print and display them.
  • Printed copies of the certificates are only mailed to the winners or runners up where specified above.

Usage

  • Artists are permitted to use their specific RAA badges and certificates on their website and social media accounts.
  • Members are encouraged to share their awards online where they see fit.
  • Members are encouraged to display digital badges on marketing images, such as social media cover photos, profile photos, website banners, print material, and "about" pages on social media or websites.
  • Members may also display the badges on their own without accompanying images and can post the badges on their social media and websites.
  • Additionally, members can group together the awards on a single image or post to showcase their achievements.

Restrictions:

  • There is strictly NO editing or altering of digital badges, awards, or certificates of any kind permitted.
  • Members cannot mislead buyers by suggesting that all their work has been recognised with awards.
  • Claiming awards or achievements that they did not receive is prohibited.

By adhering to the rules and guidelines set by the RAA, artists can maintain the integrity and value of their awards and recognitions.
