I fell in love with therapy dolls after seeing the positive effects they made on my Mama’s life who suffered from early onset Alzheimer’s. After her unexpected passing from Covid in 2020 and watching my father suffer from Frontal temporal dementia, painting was an outlet that helped heal my own pain of the loss of my Mama and watching my father suffer through dementia. With previous experiences in art and as a retired cosmetoloist, not to mention having a mother who had been an artist herself, she loved sharing all her passions for painting and teachings with me. Helping me pave the way in all things art. I dove into creating therapy dolls as a way of paying it forward in memory of my Mama and honoring my father. I now use the proceeds from my dolls to gift therapy dolls to those who suffer from Alzheimer’s or other types of dementias. Healing hearts one baby at a time:)
