Always a creative artist at heart, the year 2020 brought a new art into my life, the art of Reborn dolls. At that time I was a full-time elementary teacher of 21 years. Then, suddenly my school, along with others across the globe, shut down due to the recent pandemic. This was the perfect opportunity for me to try my hand at reborning dolls. I dove right in and a year later had created and sold each of my, more than a dozen, Reborn dolls. Within those next 4 years I continued to make Reborn dolls for sale until my full-time teaching job and arrival of grandchildren eventually slowed me to a halt. Then on October 1st, 2025 I retired after teaching 26 years so I could dedicate my time to once again making Reborn dolls. This time however, I began my official business, ArtisticReborns.com I now spend up to 6 days a week working sometimes over 8 hour days painting, studying, rooting, sewing custom cloth bodies, and creating Reborns. I continue to build my skills and strive for that perfect, masterpiece, Reborn work of art. Each doll is always a personal challenge for me to reach my goal of the most hyper-realistic Reborn possible with a top quality online business to show off my dolls. The ultimate prize is when a customer, or random person in public, sees my work and is speechless to discover they are talking to a doll. This gives me the joy that keeps me going strong.
