Velvet Touch Babies

Hi Im Debbie Marie Mcdonald and my journey started 6 years ago when my 11 month old grandson passed away. His brother couldn't sleep at night so I made him a cusion and printed our babies photo onto it so that he had somthing to cuddle at night and he could always see his brother. I then watched a documentary about reborn dolls and decided I would like to learn to paint them, and over the last few years I've had the privilege to make some custom dolls for people who have also lost their babies. I went to my first doll show 4 years ago and saw a silicone doll and met a wonderful silicone artist who encouraged me with my sculpting. I followed her lessons and learnt to make a mould of my sculpt and pour and paint a silicone doll, I am now the founder of Velvet Touch Babies this is my nursery. I still have so much to learn and will hopfuly never stop learning new techniques to make more realistic dolls. Thank you to all of the artists who give advice and encouragment to new artists.
